Really would like to read the reviews...

Ouch! at conduit 2

OUCH for SOCOM and Mortal Combat.

So Edge continues to be the worst review source on the planet, jolly good show.

I've nearly finished Portal 2, it's not as great as they make it seem. The visuals aren't stellar, the loading is horrible and annoying, the levels are way to samey, the puzzles aren't as hard as the first games and I feel way less incorporated into the plot in comparison to the first game. I sat down expecting something special (after loving the first, reading the reviews and the god like status that Valve is given nearly every day) and even though I'm enjoying it, I would in no way consider it to be amazing. I stall stand by the opinion that Valve are one of the most overrated developers in the industry and reviewers just love to kiss their ass, same thing with Rockstar San Diego, Infinity Ward and Harmonix.

Mortal Kombat is filled with content, runs like an Olympian, looks great, plays great, does interesting new things with it's story mode and yet it somehow gets a six, hmm.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

The odds of someone saying 'ouch' at the same time and at different games must be quite small...

Why? Is it because you don't agree with their scores even though you haven't read their reviews yet?

Well said, even then I'm pretty sure they use the 0-10 scale correctly where 5 is average. In this case 6 out of 10 is better then average (good).

Hmm, pie.

Not surprised about MK.  Portal 2 is well deserved.

I always read their reviews, I haven't read the ones in the OP, but Edge have become so predictable in their reviews that I doubt they'd have a sudden change, especially when their scores don't reflect that result. It's also not about what I agree or disagree with, it's with their own obvious inconsistencies with their writing and philosphies and how they have an obvious bias towards certain studios, genres and regions, which comes through in their reviews. I have other issues with Edge, but I don't feel like going into a three page argument which has no chance of swaying my or anyone elses opinion on the matter.

I like reading train wrecks, so I can at least be thankful that they are still around for that.
