Maybe im being paranoid, but it looks like Conduit 2 was sent to die. It was supposed to come out in November and that didnt happen which was smart, because competition was serious. it then would haven been released in Feb, which i think would have been good, but then got pushed back to a March date same day as Crysis2. That was insanity and i think Sega realized this and decided to push it back another month, same day as Portal 2, Socom & MK. So they not only took it out of the pan and into the fire they death marched it up a mountain and kicked it into an active volcano.
The original had ads and coverage, maybe not the best ads, but they were there, this time nothing. Hell from what im hearing some of the major retailers dont even know this game exist and some people in general didnt even know it released. This shocks me because Sega has been the biggest 3rd party supporter of Wii since day 1, id expect this from EA. Why did Sega have so little faith in this game??? IMHO im thinking they were not to happy about the original's sales. IMO taking almost 2 years to reach1/2 a mil in one of the biggest genres this gen with the biggest install base is nothing to be proud of. Doesnt matter what HVS says, actions speak loud and maybe Sega wasnt happy with how Conduit 1 did. If Sega was obligated to publish these 2 games then they probably figured to not even waste the advertising dollars. Either way this doesnt look good for Grinder i was expecting Sega to pick that up but it looks like there not doing that and if they dont i dont know who the hell will

Yea vgchartz has the game at less than 30,000 week 1 in america and less than 2,000 copies in europe thats ridiculous. HVS is gonna be dissapointed cause they expected it to do a bit better than the first conduit.

Still waiting for the legs, but not holding my breath.
I also think this is a result of general digust over the neglect third parties gave these games on the Wii. But that's for another thread.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Many third party Wii games have been sent to die. This should be old news. I don't know whether it's a coincidental frequent incompetence by the Wii third parties, or part of some larger agenda I'm missing, but what I do know is that third party blunders on Wii have been a very consistant thing.

I'm more surprised that the original game had advertising. I didn't see any and coupled with average reviews and the most boring uninspired box art I've ever seen was probably a factor in it's disapointing sales.

I think the Devs should add to their contracts that the publishers required to spend a certain minimum amount on advertising.
You can't sell a game if nobody knows about it.

I honestly do not understand why Nintendo themelves didn't publish this. They need more games like this and should be glad companies like HVS are out there willing to support their console with quality content, especially now. On that note, imo HVS would make a terrific 2nd party developer for Nintendo.
