As long as it isn't a company I like they can go ahead and buy them.
I am still mad at them for buying Monolith and not bringing their games overseas. Soma Bringer is so awesome.

While I agree that Nintendo haven't been perfect with localising games, they are doing a better job with Monolith than when they were under Namco last gen for Europe (although that doesn't really say anything).
Last gen, only two Monolith games were localised for Europe, Xenosaga II and the 1st Baten Kaitos. In fact those were done by Sony and Nintendo respectively, so I'm not quite sure whether they should count in the first place. Scamco ensured we missed out on the other Monolith titles such as the other two Xenosagas, Baten Kaitos Origins and Namco x Capcom. Hell, we didn't even get any of the Tales games expect Symphonia and Phantasia GBA (which were also to a degree both handled by Nintendo).
On the other hand, under Nintendo we've seen Disaster in 2008 and Xenoblade Chronicles has been announced for a release later this year. While I still desperately want Soma Bringer to make it to Europe, I'm fairly content in the knowledge that Xenoblade Chronicles (after Zelda SS, my most hyped game) is coming.
I don't really see your problem as I'm certain that if Nintendo had passed on the oppotunity to buy a majority share in Monolith, we wouldn't have seen Disaster and in the near future Xenoblade Chronicles coming to the West. That's assuming that noone else would have bought them over like Atlus, where Europe would be in an equal bad/even worse situation (Atlus doesn't do European localisation as they don't have a branch here, and therefore rely on others like Nintendo, Square-Enix and for Demon Souls ironically Namco-Bandai).
You may be 'mad' at Nintendo (though NoE/A =/= Nintendo in this context), but I'm constantly breathing sighs of relief in the knowledge NoE are localising pretty much all of their games (though to be fair they did that pre-2007 as well).
