Forums - Nintendo Discussion - More Project Cafe Rumors – Games To Be Shown Off At E3

Well more like a wish list than a rumor haha.  I mean, it would be pretty hard for anyone to really have a compiled list of games that will be shown off at E3 and in what form, unless this was the person who is helping to set up the event in the first place.  So that's rather unlikely.

More or less, seems as if someone is either playing off the usual stated rumors and adding their own twist, or do have insight and simply speculating on E3 possibilities given what they know about certain developer progress on the system thus far.  Either way... it's speculative.

Most of the hardware and features seems to be pretty consistent along all the rumors, so I think we should start to consider these as more than jsut rumors, but software rumors have been all over the place for N6.  I mean, I can't wait for Shenmue rumors to start flaring up as well haha.  So I think we should pay attention to what is being stated about the hardware because it seems to be pretty consistent across the board, but software wise... well your guess is just as good as theirs haha.

As much as I would have loved this list, I seriously doubt it has any bearing with reality whatsoever.

It's like someone did a brainstorm session "what games would you like on your hardocre console, including games that couldn't happen?". Even just the Pokemon RPG is like the unatainable holy grail  - from everything I recall, it was repeatedly said by the Pokemon company that it won't happen on a console since it doesn't fit the medium.

If it is only going to be a triple core CPU, they better have upped the clock speed, cache sizes, etc. The other improvements, such as the R700 (which I think is the ATI HD 4800 series) and 2GB of RAM would be plenty for 1080p native, 3D, and quite improved graphics over the current 360/PS3 hardware.

The only MAJOR foreseeable setback in the future for this setup would be the CPU. Likely the next PS3 and 360 will have double the cores they have now, a slightly better graphics card, and more RAM.

The SSD is a good touch, though that means the internal storage will be limited to smaller amounts (such as 40-80GB) or it would be very costly. Maybe Nintendo has decided to go the route of cloud storage for game saves and whatnot to help reduce the need for HDD space?

Some of the games seem a bit unlikely as well. I cannot wait to see the reveal and see this hardware and games selection up close at E3 this year!

You have to remember that Game Saves are downright puny. 512 MB would be more space than you ever could possibly need for saves on a single console. It's DLC that takes up real space

HD game saves on my 360 vary from kilobytes to as high as 40-60mb. Over the long term 512MB would not be enough for me. Then you have, like you mentioned, DLC like map packs and game add-ons. I suppose if they have a fast disc drive that doesn't require any installs ever, that would leave the HDD space free for other things.

40-60 for a save? Including what, exactly? Extensive replay data?

I'm just curious...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

It's not true. How the hell you think Nintendo is going to show a new HD Zelda game when Skyward Sword has not been released yet? Nobody would buy Zelda Wii if they show a super-realistic Link for Zelda-Cafe.

pfft. yeah right. I'd buy it regardless of anything else. (given they are not the same game, then I'd simply buy it with my new Nintendo like I did with Wii and TP)

Well they could just pull a Zelda Twilight Princess and release Skyward Sword for Wii and Project Cafe simultaneously.

A lot of this stuff had better be fake...

Beats me... the saves are for games like Borderlands and Fallout.

Actually, thinking a bit better, Pokemon RPG actually seems less likely than others since Nintendo has stated that the strength of Pokemon is it`s portability. There were no Pokemon RPG for N64, Gamecube and Wii, and there would be one for Project Café? A home version wasn`t made for the dying GC when it most needed, surely one wouldn`t be made now.

Now, your usual home console Pokemon game would still very much help, especially if the rumor about Nintendo`s new online stance is true.

Even if I am one seriously big Nintendo fanboy this sound way to good to be true.

Wonder how huge pokemon online would be if it was released

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

IMO It would be so huge that If you remove all games and features from the OP list except for Pokemon RPG, Cafe sales will skyrocket based on that game alone.

But I don't believe it's true - unless... they did say this will be the first social console or something like that.
