It is out, it just sold really badly. 19K opening week. One of the casualties of not having a top 200 chart.
Anyway, how does PS3 outsell Wii and 360 yet have so much lower software? We're almost back to the whole PS3 doesn't move software scenario.

Because we have PS3 SW undertracked by like 80 Million or something
480 Million units of SW shipped WW... 385 Million sold WW...
Anyway, OT:
Huge Kinect boost this Week. With new SW, comes new buyers.
Nice to see PS3 hold onto that top spot too

woops forgot to click done after i was typing anyway so this is going to be a late reply.
Those sony software numbers were likely a typo by sony. From their official website it can easily be seen that they have shipped 424.8million units by the end of quarter 3. Just add up the ytd numbers of previous years with the three quarters of this year. http://www.scei.co.jp/corporate/data/bizdataps3soft_sale_e.html. That would mean sony would have had to ship 55.2 million units in quarter 4 for the 480mil. This is about the same amount it shipped during quarter 3 this fiscal year which is the holiday quarter.
Considering quarter 4 last year had god of war 3, final fantasy xiii, heavy rain, mag, and battlefield, as major titles, and there was a similarly large amount of decently selling multiplatforms as this year's quarter 4, its safe to assume quarter 4 shipments are lower than last year. I think there are well over 20mil ps3 software in all the retailers across the world. Hard to believe there are only 15mil as you estimated considering just major titles could ship around or over 1million units more than they sell through in their initial weeks, (examples include halo 3, gran turismo 5, GTA4, kinect adventures, even dead space 2 and homefront, many others I'm too lazy to find as well), but I can't find any info on the number of games the major retailers have on display and storage at any one time so its really anyone's guess. PS3 software is still probably undertracked by at least 15mil.
Can't really compare to 360 numbers because sadly microsoft doesn't release shipment info... Anyway we will find out actual quarter 4 shipments in May so we can see exactly how much lower vgc sold through numbers are than shipped numbers.
As for this week. Looks like new kinect releases will give kinect a nice bump every now and then. Killzone 3 holding on nicely, and crysis 2 is showing much better legs than bulletstorm despite identical week 1. It could even catch up to homefront in the long run seeing as its drop off is much slower. Its week 4 is higher then homefront's. Nice to see Fallout New Vegas on the charts as well.
