Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Let's say third parties flood the next system: How to do it.

I'm still waiting until E3, but assuming this is true that Nintendo at least has dev kits to third parties (no matter when Nintendo releases the system), third parties can still blow it the way they blew cashing in on the Wii. Think that can't happen, then you don't get WHY Nintendo games sell best on their systems.

First of all, no bullshit tests (and especially not making another test when the last one passes). Flood the system with games as you did the other systems, or Nintendo gamers will think the third parties are giving the same scraps again, and reject them as they did the scraps on the Wii (remember many were saying, and then doing by the sales, that they wouldn't buy Extraction or Darkside Chronicles, because they knew they were bones being thrown in lieu of the main course).

Second of all, either sell ports at a low price with no new content (RE4, Mario Power Tennis, Pikmin), new content with full price (RE4 on the PS2), or GTFO. You want to make people buy older games, make it worth their while.

Third of all, don't use the system solely as a third buffer for game expenses. Nintendo gamers got so jaded by lack of third party respect, they will smell it again if that is all third parties care about here.

Don't worry, Nintendo will get flooded with 360/PS3 ports on their next console and lots of remakes too.  Kind of like how 3DS is getting flooded with ports too.

Most anticipated games of 2011:

Uncharted 3,Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Rocksmith

Modern Warfare 3, Super Mario 3D

No, your combining two of my points and missing both.

What are we defining as tests?  Were the 'New Play Control' titles tests?  Or the console Pokemon games?

Why would they be, when Nintendo knew they had that audience (if they doubted it, Zelda showed them it was there)?

Let's not say. Let's wait and see.

What makes you think the OP doesn't include that? It's stating what needs to be done, not what will be done.

I'm potentially worried that we'll see the worst of the early Wii third party games and the early PS3 games: shoehorned motion-control ports of old games that run worse than the PS360 versions...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

That is partly what I'm worried about as well.

3rd Party assign there good teams and talented employ's
to show case there ability to make Good, well polished
amazing graphics on the system that will be the most
powerful, and eases to show it off on. That's natural.

Developers will make the games as awesome looking as they
can, and there best effort will always be aimed at the system
that, valorizes there work the most, and helps tap into its full
potential. The other Consule will get the scraps.

Nintendo will never have good ports. If your working on
the Wii port its cause you have no future. your not the one
working to make something the company can publish and
say. "Wow that games is amazing we ownz" and be proud
of.

Thats why If Nintendo keeps giving up the idea of hardware
Investment, like the 2 others. Its a total waist of there time
To cater to 3rd party at all,

and should totally turn to 1st-2nd party and never even give
a rats ass of anything the 3rd party are making.
