The pre order chartz just don't make any sense right, MK only 3k boost? inFAMOUS only 1k boost?

MK pre-orders likely surpass 500k, so 700k roughly week 1 in Americas I hope!

My theory is when VGC overtracks preorders, they don't fix the previous weeks numbers but they adjust the current weeks numbers down the amount they think they overtracked the game by. Mortal Kombat was ridiculously higher on the ps3 than the 360 for americas region which is why they only put down 4k for this week. They think they overtracked the ps3 version not undertracked the 360 version.

The same thing happened with bulletstorm for the 360. Initially it was heavily overtracked so its last two weeks they made it only gained 2k a week.

As for portal 2 sales that makes sense as well. Anyone who thinks the ps3 version will outsell the 360 version in americas is crazy. Its preorders started catching up simply because of the exclusive content. Similar to madden nfl 2011. Exclusive content/promotion helped preorders stay very close, but in the end the 360 version outsold the ps3 version by 400k in america.

Gears 3 is so high because of beta I guess, and hopefully the Uncharted 3 beta should help inFamous 2

My only real concern is LA Noire, it doesn't really seem to be picking up yet with a month until launch

Thats different then these pre-orders so you can't compare them.

Although I do think Vgchartz pre-orders have a pretty big margin of error.
