I hope this game isn't cursed with unattainable levels of hype.

You guys aren't alone! Uncharted 2 is the FIRST game to ever get me into mp. Was strictly a single player guy previously. Figured I'd give the mp a try since U2's campaign was so good, and BAM! I was hooked! I've tried so many games' multiplayers and have always been bored to tears; but I just couldn't stop playing U2's multi! My favorite mp ever! KZ3 is now the second mp I've ever enjoyed (the first FPS multi), but still can't compete with the variation in gameplay that U2's multi has.

OT:  OM gosh I absolutely can't believe the news of split screen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wrote on ND's forums a long while ago begging them to include split screen in their mp bc I wanted it so bad. I ams so stoked they made this decision. ND is king baby!!! Absolutely cannot wait for this game!

Uncharted 2 was great for the single player experience and I look forward to the 3rd. However the multiplayer was rather lame in my opinion. Most likely because I have a 360 and Halo. Otherwise maybe I would of liked it more. So I do not see myself caring about multiplayer in 3.

I dont know if this has been confirmed yet, but the trailer showed a july 5th start date for the mp beta.  I am so freakin stoked for this, sounds like they truly are doing some big things for multiplayer man this is gonna be one hell of a game.  Customization, mmmm...

To each their own, I love halo reach as well but Uncharted 2's multiplayer truly is one of the most underrated gems this generation.  Its so polished, balanced and just plain damn fun that I simply find myself wondering where the hell the time went.  There arent too many games that do that to me, but uc2's multi is just that good.  I would place it in my top 5 online gaming experiences ever, and if it werent for cod4 having that special place in my heart, it would be number 1 followed closely by gears of war.  I love third person shooters, moreso than most fps's, not quite sure why but Im just drawn more to their style of play.  I was one of 5 people who enjoyed mw2's third person mode, I loved it despite its oddities.

Haha what? That's kind of an odd statement. I've played Halo many times and just never could get into it. Uncharted 2's multiplayer on the other hand I can't get enough of. It's just different tastes.
