I guess I'm against. I like the idea of a group fighting for consumer rights but I don't agree with doing something illegal to do it. The second you decide to take the law in your own hands you are just replacing your morals for the morals of the court, and instead of the courts deciding what should be punished you are doing it for yourself. The issue is that from what I've seen Anonymous isn't good enough at making those decisions.
from Wiki I see:
In January 2009 members of Anonymous targeted California teen McKay Hatch who runs the No Cussing Club, a website against profanity.[65][66] As Hatch's home address, phone number, and other personal information were leaked on-line, his family has received a lot of hate mail, lots of obscene phone calls, and even bogus pizza and pornography deliveries.
which is just ridiculous from a group supposedly all about free speech. The biggest part of a fair free speech is letting speak whatever they want, even if they're saying something against free speech. To work towards silencing someone else's opinion in the defense of free speech is one of the most hypocritical things I've ever heard of.
I like a good number of the things they've fought for, but things like this make me certain that this group shouldn't be taking the law into their own hands and are worse than the court system they try to subvert.
