I mean the overall design. It would probably gets some new tweaks like how the classic controller got a grip and a more playstation style layout in its redesign. I think we might see a controller stick slider to replace the D-pad to allow control stick control on the camera again. That would be cool if they added pressure sensitive buttons again as well for the Z and B button. Then there's the addition of a IR pointer for the nunchuk controller. It would be cool if they made the structure of the controller "squeezable" as well to allow moments in video games where your character can squeeze something. Imagine a game where you can have a playdo and you can squeeze it with both your wii controller and nunchuk and then pull it apart by motion control! It could also work with grabbing and choking for fighting games and maybe control your character to flex by the amount you squeeze the controller. Of course this makes the Wii controller seem even more like a white penis but the ability to squeeze your controller can have some nice gimmicks that may actually be relevant.

So what do you guys think? Do you want Nintendo to keep the Wii controller for the next Nintendo console?

And yes this is a response to the rumour of the next Nintendo console have a controller with six inch (HD?) screen on it.

Im hoping it stays about the same but obviously with tweaks.

- Wiimote should have 1 or 2 buttons in close proximity to the A button

- Nunchuk must be wireless as well

- Nunchuk should have motion capabilities

Thats all, i really like the Wiimote design as it is already.

Nunchuck already has some motion capability.

I don't mind the design as it is, but maybe they should put a few more buttons close to the A button. I mean, how many people complained about there being "less" buttons on the controller... I wanna see what Nintendo does. I wouldn't mind a standard controller (even though it goes against their philosophy and direction they took with Wii).

Linkasf i meant Nunchuk should have MotionPlus capabilities, like WiiMotion Plus.

I never understood the complaint about more buttons for the Wii controller. What games are there that actually need more buttons?

Why would you like more buttons? Wii controller is fine: easy to pick and with some motion functions (sword in Zelda) that allows the remote to play with less buttons. Games like Super Mario Galaxy don't need all the buttons and play very well.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

they should use my idea... xD

They should tweak them, but without changing much.

I don't need more buttons, but I'd appreciate if they relocated the 1 and 2 buttons. Yes, they are great for some games but with games that use the IR sensor (FPS, Point'n'Click, etc.) they can be a pain in the arse.

They could also use the "circle pad" of the 3DS instead of the stick, as well as filling the nunchuk with all the motion capacities of the wiimote.

I don't care if the nunchuk is wireless, but the wiimote should include an internal battery.

I like the idea of an IR pointer for the nunchuk, specially for dual gun wielding...

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

I voted: yes, but tweak it

most of all, I would  like a slightly bigger D-pad

In shooters a few more buttons would help. Now you only have 4 instant access buttons, A, B, C and Z, if you need the d-pad you must kind of reach out for them, especially if you need up on the d-pad, kind of awkward imo. Maybe im just to picky but extra buttons would be welcome.
