I think 2007 is the first year that Microsoft sells more than Sony in North America
and maybe also the last

in Europe this year was their chance, but things turned different, and the 360 get's beaten by the PS3 with quite a marging
so MS still hasn't ever beaten Sony in the december month
and certainly won't do it this generation anymore in Europe

the 360 does already have a lower price and more and better games than the PS3 in Europe (just like everywhere else)
so will a price drop help it enough to cath up with PS3 sales?
Sony just needs to drop the price parallel to MS
and the upcoming big games in 2008 will do the rest

I have to agree ajax, a lot of people here are from the USA and thus see the 360 trouncing the PS3, (see Sorikus thread about PS3 not making 5.5 million by year end)

I think you may be wrong with the North America bit though (but you did say maybe), i suspect 360 will still outsell PS3 for 2008, but it may be closer. 2009 i am not sure about yet, could go either way.... but then as long as PS3 is closer to 360 in America next year, it should outsell the 360 easily worldwide because of Microsofts failure to interest the Japanese, and us Europeans luke warm reception (except here in UK)

You should perhaps read my post which includes all of November and December, and thus shows the 360 is leading, but just as negligably (not sure that is a word) as the PS3 is discounting that first week.

@ ajax, yes i agree, it is no certainty, but i think it is by far more probable the 360 will outsell PS3 for 2008 Americas.  Had GTA4 been PS3 exclusive I might have been more sceptical (GTA has a lot of pull... I almost fear for the Wii when it is released)

your kidding right just DS alone has sold more then sonys systems or atleast more and then if you include wii ninty wins for sure
