I think we will know which console (PS3 or 360) will sell the most this generation, by how much the PS3 can sell next year. I still believe 99% that the PS3 will handily outsell the 360 this gen. The 360 year on year increase just hasn't been enough for me.

I will update this thread every week, when we get new data in.

i personally think that its more important to keep the current form going. because as total sales get higher, the 7 million gap would seem as significant.

i.e, 7mil vs 16mil might seem bad, but if they both end up at say.....53 mil vs 60 mil, then they essentially did just as well each other, with 360 obviously beating it, but you could really say that it got trumped.

 I don't expcet the PS3 to increase much next year, their library lacks the games, even their big hitters are all likely to fall in late 2008 or early 2009, by then its possible MS will have more price cuts and more games to steal away any real momentum away, the only way PS3 could surpass the gap is by slashing prices, and that is puitting them into dangerous losses territory

which bit of the website are you using to get those numbers, because most of the time when it gives a date it means the last day in that week, so the week of 10th November also includes the days from 4th to 9th November.

ah, i see you are using the table... excellent, but still take note of what the dates mean. the numbers you posted are for the period of 5th November to 16th December.

This table starts on the 5th Nov and ends 16th December.

Of course if you start a week earlier (to include all of November, plus 3 days of October)

 Yeah, this is true. But, If that's the case, then it will depend on which system gets more little boost thoughout their life. Like, a game boosting sales for a week or two.

the Xbox got beaten by the PS2 every december in Europe
and also the 360 got beaten by the PS2 last year
and this year the 360 get's beaten by the more expensive PS3, with half the gaming library

the 360's looking at a tough year in 2008 in Europe
