Forgive the rather speculative nature of the topic, but in the next two months or so, what do you think the chances of there being a PS3 pricecut in Europe? If your answer is no, could you please take an educated guess as to when we can next expect a fall in the price? Many thanks.

my guess is next year they are doing fine right now(no 1 home console this year). they have slightly lower sales than last year which was riding the price cut from the year before. if xbox gets a price cut they might follow.

Maybe during E3 like xbox last year. 

It probably won't happen anytime this year. if the ps3 drops it's price the xbox 360 will do the same so it wouldn't really benifit them to drop the price. also with ps3 sales doing much better then the other consoles they might as well take full advantage of this price point. i think a price drop will probably happen after the 2012 E3.

I find it ironic how people are saying that becasue the PS3 is selling the best out of the 3 so far this year means that a price drop is not needed, but if it was selling below the other 2 it would. This just proves the perception that sales only matter when compared to competitors and not on their own. If the wii was at 45m LTD right now people would consider it a failure despite the huge profits Nintendo has made when it got to that point. Oh humans.

So true. The Gamecube made some excellent profits, but everyone considered it a total failure.
