Forums - Sales Discussion - DS beats GBA total sales in Europe this week

The DS has now officially sold more than the GBA, how long before this happens in America?

Sweet! There's no guarantee that it will be able to pass the GBA in America, I'm afraid.

thats good news in america it will take a while though

the DS will pass the GBA in US. I don't think that Nintendo will have to kill the DS prematurly.

Quite true. The DS took off in Japan, then the EU, then America: as such, it's well behind the Game Boy (and the PS2) at this point in its lifespan. It's making up for lost ground, though.

I thought this topic was to troll against the topic I made today. Thought it said "DS beats GBA sales this week". :P

Of course, it's no big surprise. The system was selling a million a week so it beating out the previous handheld is no surprise.

America on the other hand is a different story. IIRC the GBA did the best in the US, but the DS does the worst in the US. It will be much longer till that happens.

ds potential is awakening

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Great achievement for the DS.
