since when did they put all their eggs in the 3DS basket? If I am not mistaken there are still games coming out for the DS and it's still selling well, the Wii has several big games coming (Xenoblade and The Last Story for the west plus The Legend of Zelda: SS and Dragon quest X) and then they have their next home console looks to me like they have a lot of baskets...

Hell yes, PS3 did get all these doomed threads. There was no longer going to be a PS4, Sony was suppose to be bankrupt, dead and buried and going out of business was all part of it. It went on for months.
Next the "intelligent" analysts on this site will give reasons for this 3DS "failure" and spin more doom and gloom, like politicians do.
Then a few months from now when the 3DS is killing the christmas sales these same "experts" will pretend they knew it would be a success all along.
I have seen it all before.

yes, it did. comprible to number of wii-doomed threads i'd wager -- way more than the 3DS has seen so far.

The 3DS and using 'oh so great' 3D as a selling point, vanity.
The 3DS launch line-up, sloth.
The 3DS trying to make the PSP a non-factor instead of following the DS's footsteps, wrath.
The 3DS's battery life, gluttony.
Nintendo's obsession with 3D instead making hardware selling games, lust.
The 3DS' atricious price, avarice.
The 3DS' receiving numerous ports from older systems, envy.
Seriously, the 3DS is going to be a trainwreck and it may very well be the first Nintendo handheld I flat out skip out of apathy and Nintendo not wanting to follow their blue ocean strategy of the DS and Wii. It's like they're the Beatles and the 3DS is Yoko.
