I dont know why but I keep thinking X-box will do really well next gen.      Anyone feel it too?

Microsoft has to be the first to release the next gen con.

If Sony starts earlier, MS will be in trouble.

so we are now on the 360 part of the d0med cycle.

Don't worry, in a couple of months it will be back to Nintendo again

seems like UBI will save Kinect at April/May/June

I don't get how people feel that consoles that released in 2005/2006 and have had tremendous sales (all three are likely in the top 10 of all time), still have tremendous sales, have great libraries, and still have room for price cuts and innovations can be considered doomed.

Thing is, the PSP, DS, 360, Wii, PS3, and V-Tech V-Smile can all quit selling today and still be considered successful.  I guess doom is just more interesting....unless you're talking about the movie "Doom".  That sucked.

here 3 things microsoft could do to get back in the lead ........

1. price drop

2. buy studios aka //   twisted pixels ,   RedLynx they made trials HD ,   Epic Games ,   Remedy  , and Mistwalker or Feelplus

3.  xbox 3 ??

MS isn't in trouble.  The 360 has almost certainly exceeded their expectations for this gen, it is the second place console in US and the first place HD console in US, and it is profitable and Live is doing very well.

The 360 has to dip given its age and relative lack of new IP.  Kinect gave it a great boost but IMHO will not give it a truly sustained boost as I think the Wii remains simply too dominant for motion controls, so I think it will start to dip again.

But... there will be more Kinect titles, more price cuts.  360 will achieve a great LTD performance when its run is over, partiicularly if you compare it to the Xbox.

So no, MS isn't in trouble - unless you believe there's some magic way to avoid normal demand curves and keep a device on an ever upwards growth there's nothing actually wrong with 360 sales given its age, library and typical slowing of new IP vs sequels that keeps the core happy but contributes to slowing sales momentum.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

true and also everyone forgets on how badly the xbox 1 was in the red , the xbox360 has been so profitable that microsoft has made all that money back from xbox 1 and has made a ton of money on the 360

You mean last place, except for the PSP?

Aren't X is Doomed threads supposed to be banned?

I was speaking in terms of systems that a self-respecting 20-year old would utilize.

18
Kinect Adventures! (X360)
Microsoft, Other
21 78,090 9,471,274
22
Kinect Adventures! (X360)
Microsoft, Other
22 64,375 9,535,649

As you can see from the sales, Kinect sales have dropped Week-over-Week, so people are diskinecting.

I have spoken nothing but truth, therefore a ban would be unwarranted.

Read this thread:

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=123199&page=1

What happens is one system goes into a sales slowdown, or another system picks up, and then out come thread after thread how system X is doom, in trouble, or whatever else.  Such threads are fertile soil for partisan fanboy wars to break out.  The reality is that such threads get old.

And if you are going to go into infamatory, which you are REAL close to being with "people are disKinecting" and "self-respecting 20 year old" comment, then I could come back and ponder, "WTF is this about a 'self-respecting 20 year old'?"

Not say you were to be banned, but threads like this are close to that.  Anyhow, my take.

Like PS Move the Kinect needs games.

Which was the last quality game for Kinect? I guess new good software could change the moment for Microsoft and Kinect.
