This past week, the 360 was last (barring a testicular pie) in worldwide sales.

The PS3 is slowly closing the gap between itself and the 360; a price cut to $199.99 could be huge.

The Wii has no games until Conduit 2 :P and won't even have hope for the future until mid-June at E3...afterwards there will be another 3 month drought until all the titles appear in Q4.

People are disKinecting...despite the heavily supported library. Will the Nextbox 720 release this holiday?

Seriously, M$ is trying to get the casual market, which doesnt give a flying EFF about kinect.. at least not for the $150 stand alone price..

and no I doubt given the release of Kinect and room for price drops, they will release the next xbox this year. I expect them to push kinect like crazy this holiday season as well along with a price drop

Fanbase is growing and Microsoft are profiting so it wouldnt matter if they were to fall into 3rd place.

You mean last place, except for the PSP?  And differential in the home system arena between first and third place is around 8000 consoles, with the 360 having the most sales in the largest market for home consoles now. 

Aren't X is Doomed threads supposed to be banned?  This is particularly true when you look at the numbers this week.  I guess people want to see what they want to see.

last wouldn't bother me about the 360 if it wasn't last and the other systems are doing pretty bad themselves.  in the holidays it really looked like kinect was going to push things but that seemed to fade fast.

now to lyrik's points, if MS had more studios to create some compelling software maybe kinect would still be pushing systems out the door.  a month after launch is not the time to go into a software drought.

What happens is one system goes into a sales slowdown, or another system picks up, and then out come thread after thread how system X is doom, in trouble, or whatever else.  Such threads are fertile soil for partisan fanboy wars to break out.  The reality is that such threads get old.

And if you are going to go into infamatory, which you are REAL close to being with "people are disKinecting" and "self-respecting 20 year old" comment, then I could come back and ponder, "WTF is this about a 'self-respecting 20 year old'?" 

Not say you were to be banned, but threads like this are close to that.  Anyhow, my take.

Actually, i'd say 65k Kinected this week, and you have no data on how many traded in. So, stupid comment from you.

This whole thread is stupid ... there is such a small gap between all of the consoles ...
