Hopefully they didn't cut too much from education. It just doesn't make sense to cripple a system that helps people improve their intellect and their economic position.

Why do people even bother posting such crap as this?

By the way a simple "tldnr" response only just says one of two things "i am not educated enough to understand the topic" or "I didn't have time to read the topic." However if ther person trully did not have the time to read the topic, why do they have the time to reply? That leaves only option 1.

Holy shit we actually agree on something.  I miss being a mod sometimes because it would be fun to ban him.  If he tried to say something against my reply would simply be "tldnr."

We actually agree on a lot, I just don't say anything since you say whatever needs to be said before me, when it happens.

I wonder who caved? Hopefully the Republicans who wanted to defund the EPA realized how idiotic their stance was

*edit*

Republicans caved. They wanted $61.5b in reductions, Dems wanted $33. The end result was $39.5b.

Which is pretty bad of Republicans to cave like they did. These kinds of nickle-and-dime spending cuts won't fix the massive deficit we have.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

What makes me aggrivated the most is that the congressmen/senators are still getting paid.

Most have stated they will not accept thier regular pay, except for one congresswoman, Mrs. Sanchez who said that she lives paycheck to paycheck like most Americans, and cannot afford to go without pay (she makes $174,000 USD/yr by the way).

There was one senator who proposed they not be paid. A Democrat I believe.

Sad it didn't pass.

Paycheck to paycheck on 174,000.  Wooo boy.

Give me 174,000 and i'll live 6-8 years off that.

If I was ever a senator the first thing I would propose is a cut in pay to 100,000 and back that up by donating the extra 74,000 to charity every year.

With a later proposal that any raises must be voted for nationally on the election ballot.

My news station was kind of pessimistic..

'No shutdown'   I was like 'good news'  one second later..

'But only tens of billions are saved and this caused almost a shutdown...what will this gives in 6 months when the next talk about next year's budget starts where the Replubicans wants to save 100 Billion'..

if the govertment shutdown happpens, puerto rico will be extremly affected by it, they are rumors that they are going to cut  economics aids for all the university by alot.
