Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Treyarch: People "See Value" In 1200MSP Map Packs

Hey check it out! A closed system that enables utter milking and exploitatoin of the idiocy of a large number of people! Who would have thought that a closed system would foster such behavior. I am shocked I tell you, SHOCKED.

I have yet to pay a cent for any form of DLC, and I'm proud of it.

You seem too proud in my opinion.

If those maps give people more hours of entertainment and money is being generated, good for everyone involved. If you don't like it then don't be apart of it. You're just too concerned about what other gamers are doing.

I have used this analogy before, but it is the best one.

Hook up some guys with good times and cheap drugs/video games. Than when they are hooked jack up the price a little because the rush was so great. The rush from COD can be great, but at some point it is time play another game. Or am I crazy?

Also this should include are ps3 playing COD breathren, just saying.

Well these aren't free, get over it.

PC gaming is struggling because they want everything free or dirt cheap.

Why would you argue in favor of the capitalists as compared to the lowly consumers. You sound like a guy who wants to pay $15 for a gallon of gas.?.

...seriously?

I'm for Activision selling a stupid map pack for whatever they want. $15 is an easily affordable luxary. Far more affordable than a tank of gas.

But maybe you were being sarcastic. I mean who would compare gaming crap and gas?

Easy now, remember no human needs gas to live so it is technoly in the same catagory as video games because we need neither for survival. And of course I was beiin some what sarcastic.

I think people do not want other companies to follow in Activision's footsteps and raise prices. Actiision makes themselves look arrogant by charging more than any other in the industry, I guess it is a luxary hen your sitting on top of the pile. Peace, bedtime.

Granted humans don't need gas per se. But we do rely on gas for transportation and it plays a vital role in our daily lives. Hypothetically, if all the gas disappeared you could imagine all the problems that would create. So no, I don't put gas and video games in the same category.

I don't care if other companies follow Activision's DLC foot steps because they still have to create a game that's great right out the box. If they don't you can expect sales to dwindle.

Activision looks arrogant? Don't you think they have the success to back up that arrogance? Those map packs sell extremely well.

Value my ass, two maps are coming out for killzone 3 for 5 bucks! and Battlefield maps are usually Free!

And if more people cared about those games prices would go up.

So obviously, GTAIV and RED DEAD REDEMPTION (games that sold very well) have BOGT and Undead Nightmare, two full campaings for 10$!. Still cheaper. That a BS post.
