I did, donated $5.00...

Great act from Sony. :)

I'm gonna use the arguement supporters of Geohot use and say Sony had nothing to do with it eventhough they organised the whole thing and allowed others to donate money, they had nothing to do with it because they are not the one donating the money.

How old are you? Investing time to receive money, create a product, create marketing around a product and not promoting a real product just for receive donations and let this money reach Japan red cross and others... there´s no cost in that operation? Did you know things like that costs a lot of money, are you just a kid trying to see Sony as an Evil thing, LOL.... you are funny.

I'm being sarcastic :p

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

That would have also been my reaction but then...

I took a look at your signature ^^

yea that's pretty good. I even donated $2 through the PSN. That was pretty smart and good on sony's part.

1million dollars is not impressive? There's just no pleasing some people is there? This is a commendation to the psn users in my books, they are willing to donate to a worthy cause instead of some attention seeking mook.

When it comes from something like 20-30 milion of connected PSN users ?

Just imho but I feel disapointed in my fellow PSN users.

didn't steam just release numbers that only amounted to 0.3 million.  i'm not sure how many active steam users are out there but it is probably at least comprible to active psn users.

also, i love how a simple thread about japan relief efforts has become a playground for hating on hackers.

What were you expecting? a million dollars is a lot of mulah coming from the gaming community's good will, a place full of pirates and hackers and geohot followers. I didn't donate personally, but I'm glad some other people did. Yes, I am a cheap bastard, off my case.

Considering how much Steam users save on their game purchases, that is terrible. : )

okay, so you had to go and quote me making me feel obligated to check my own facts.

looks like it was selling really expensive hat in team fortress.  might not be as comparable as i may have suggested.
