Forums - General Discussion - How did you do on your SATs?

Totally forget, upper 1400s if I remember, but my ACT score was better than my SAT on average.

I've always wondered, what's the max score you can get at this test?

I never took them.

Don't you need them to get into college?

For some yeah, especially the big schools. Mine didn't require them.

I guess it depends on what scale you're talking about.

On a 2400 scale, I got a 2050, I believe. On a 1600 scale, I got a 1440.

The PSAT's predicted I'd do awful. I sure showed them wrong! D<

And what subjects do you have to take at the exam?

Mathematics and Reading. They recently added a Writing section, though, most universities don't really care.

Meh, I forgot my calculator so I wasn't able to finish the math section (took too long trying to do all the long multiplication and whatnot on paper). Still got a 500 or so out of 600 on the Math section and like an 1800 overall I think?

EDIT:  Maybe I got the totals wrong? It's been so long that I don't even remember. If it's just Math, Reading, and Writing then I obviously must have scored higher than 500 or so per category because I know my score was above 1800...

Ahhh highschool, so long ago.

Reading? They actually make you read? Is it an oral exam?

No, you read  stories/essays/etc and answer questions about them.
