^^^^Just Cause 2 more vehicles, MUCH bigger world, if San Adreas is the size of a small state, then Just Cause 2 is a country, and not one of the small ones. more AI on screen, no pop up, no slow down. no in game loading (minus cut scenes) you have to play the game and when you see it, you'll say this cant be done on Wii.

Your right about Bully, but despite that the 360 far outsold the Wii one despite the glithches on both and Wii having a bigger install base. so that means that either Wii owners are smarter and didnt buy glitchy crap, or there were games out they rather play instead or most of them dont care about that kind of game. Godfather and Scarface also sold worse on Wii. So some publishers did in fact try. Why would they keep on trying with those kinds of results

I dont know who saying it cant handle PS2, thats absurd, im saying it cant handle some HD games. FF13, Bioshock, Assassins Creed, GTA4, ME, KZ3, Crysis2. just to name a few. and when i mean handle im not talking about slapping some engine together throwing it out the door and slapping the name of an HD to fool some people (believe or not this works some times)

1. You were discussing technical performance, not sales. So you're trying to change the subject. Unless you think technical performane equals sales, which historically is not proven among games.

2. Bully sold better, but not that much, even on the PS2. Godfather and Scarface were GTA clones, and sold on the PS2 well after those games made an audience for them. Ports of those games just gave the impression early on that the Wii was getting scraps. Why should Wii owners buy those games?

Developers didn't really try, or else the ports would have been almost nothing by genuine hits, instead of one true hit (RE4) and a handful of GTA games that didn't even sell a fraction as well as GTA when they were fresh on the PS2.

^^^where you get that from?? im talking two different things, Just Cause 2 couldnt be done on Wii unless cutting it up to pieces thats all im saying about that game

Bully sold more than 1 million on 360, PS2 is at 800,000 on this site with no Euro numbers and according to Take2 it sold 1.5 mil on PS2 alone.  Wii version didnt even sell half a mil, so that is definately by much, thats more than half.  Dont know where you were last gen, but when Godfather came out it was quite popular, even for a clone, dont know about Scarface. Why would Wii owners buy them??? The same reason why they would buy GTA they are good freaking games(IMHO). Would GTA have sold better??? Most likely but it would still have sold less than the other systems just like these games i mentioned. I see your point about not trying, but getting a popular game that is already made and slapping motion controls on it is not trying either. Trying would be making a new game from the ground up, which a few have tried and failed

I also mentioned those games came out on the PS2 after GTA made the genre popular there. Throwing them without even a promise of GTA on the Wii made them look like scraps instead of cherries on top. That's why Wii owners stayed away.

But at least Activision didn't give up on the Wii after Scarface, and are still getting good sales on the Wii with their games (doesn't matter if they are less, since it's still more money, and that they are the only ones consistently releasing major games on the Wii in the fist place).

Well to your first point, that makes little sense, Godfather, Scarface werent even made by Rockstar, why would someone think just cause they got those games GTA would follow??? Thats just people not knowing any better and wishing on a star thats not even in the sky. and yeah Activision is still sorta trying( they screwed up Transformers)

People well care, just like wii motion controls where a gimmick. I heard all this on this site. 3DS will sell good.

You got it reversed. It was because they didn't expect GTA to follow that they knew the games were scraps.

As Blue Pocahontas 3D is one of best seller 3D movies, and after watching the trailer of that 3D crap with Nicolas Cage, I must agree even more with amp316. I'm not against 3D, but even more than with other things, I'll wait for the initial hype to fade away before jumping on board.

I thought it was Blue Ferngully 3D.

LOL.

She's undercover: the English don't expect Australian fairies to invade them and get revenge. Actually they don't expect the Spanish Inquisition either, but Pocahontas thought blue skin was cooler than scarlet choir dress.

@lordtheknight  so screw whoever made those games becaue they know there not getting the game they really want?? Although GTA has nothing to do with Godfather??? Sounds childish to me.

Somehow this thread turned into another reason to bash the Wii.

Unbelievable.
