My personal favourite was Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door. It was just perfect - a straight 10 for me.

RE4 & Metroid Prime were also both awesome games. Both 9.5+.

Final Fantasy XII

I know, But I really liked the departure, it made me remember why I fell in love with Square Enix.

Runners up are Xenosaga Episode I, Kingdom Hearts, Halo, and Mario Kart: Double Dash

Anyone that voted for mass effect this year better pick KOTOR though, since it's a better game in pretty much every way.

And I really wish I could negative vote kingdom hearts. It was ugly. The music was terrible. The combat system lame, and the camera nauseating. So bad, I'd rather play FFX-II.

Anyone with common sense will realise that Jade Empire is the best ever game made by Bioware.

 

 I for one would rather play Baldur's Gate II than either of the two, but that one is PC only, so it didn't count for this one. I played Jade Empire to the end, and found the in-party character interactions much weaker than in BGII or KOTOR, while still miles ahead from Mass Effect.

 What really weakened Jade Empire for me was the difficulty level: The game was way too easy 99% of the time, and too tough on a couple of occasions. Still, one of the top games for the original xbox.

I can't say I was a big fan of SSBM. I rented it and found it disappointing and not very fun.

Interesting to note the top 3 are all GCN exclusives.

Note: No one who said "it's a tie" got their vote counted.

 Then I go with Resident Evil 4. There is only one version to me. PS2 version graphics look like ass.

for me the best is Bob The Builder: Festival Of Fun for ps2. Extreme gamplay, nice graphics and very nice for multiplayer in my birthday . It was crazy!
