Beta sucks compared to socom 2, this game still isn't socom. Garbage kids all over the place using the cover system and then to make it worse classic mode isn't classic at all. Graphics are fine and it runs good with no lag but those are the only positives I can think of at this point.

What you mean is that this isn't Socom2, which is actually quite funny because this is Socom4. I see how easy it would be to mix up the different games, since they all start with Socom. Maybe you just assumed they were all the same game and the number at the end was some triviality. But it isn't. It signifies a change, a next step. Sorry to see you get left behind :(

Its pretty good, I don't know how to play classic mode though. 

sorry but other then the third person perspective they are absolutely nothing alike. Why not just give it a whole new name entirely since this is basically that, why couldn't they have just called it MAG third person because this isn't socom, y'know socom?  Would anyone be happy if Uncharted 3 released and it had no puzzles to solve, and no platforming aspects period and no treasure to find?

I understand your frustration, personally I have no problem with the changes. I know a lot of people feel the same way you do.

when you goto game type there are four modes to chose from it looks like this

if you look at the description it will say what the game type is with classic settings. So far the only difference I have found is that classic is round based. As far as the other changes go I havent noticed but I havent play much as I find it hard to get into the game and like it as much as socom 2.

I played for a few hours and well, it doesn't feel like socom, it really does feel like a third person version of MAG, I have played Socom since the beginning and this doesn't play like my old friend, i know i know, before you guys start flaming me, i understand that they want to update and improve the game as much as possible, and there are a few aspects i like, the quick change from primary to secondary for instance but, again the maps, at least the beta maps feel to cluttered, the controls are smooth enough but feel nothing like socoms of the past, the whole game just feels a bit off. 

I did not run into any performance issue though so kudos to the team for that, but I don't think this will be my cup of Socom tea, i will reserve final judgment till i get my hands on a retail copy though, but so far its a no buy for me, sucks to i was looking foward to some decent coop.......

I thought it was pretty average if that. Nothing about the game stands out and with a crowded market this year its a no buy for me. I'm getting MK (for PS3) in April and Gears of War 3 beta is in April so there is no reason for me to buy it. MK will last me for awhile so I'm good until the retail release of Gears 3. Gears is a  much more superior TPS so maybe I"m spoiled.
