So who has the 3DS and what do you think of it.

I'm not really impressed, I've got the change to play with it but I got reaaallly dizzy after 10 minutes playing in 3d. I'm not gonna buy it yet. I'll wait for the 3ds Lite

I got mine an hour ago, and bought pilotwings resort with it. First thing I tried out was the AR games, and I was having trouble getting them to work, but I think that was because I was trying to play it in a poorly lit area. I've played Pilot Wings for about half an hour and was very impressed with the 3D. A little less impressed with the graphical quality of the game, I thought the Island would look almost as crisp as in Wii Sports Resort, but textures are not near as smooth as they are on Wii (even in 2D mode). I also really like the analog stick, it worked really well and control was smooth with it. I then played Faceraiders for a couple of minutes, which was pretty funny. Then my battery died (system is only partly charged out of the box) so I'm using the charging cradle for the first time now.

The 3D viewing angle is very narrow, even more so than I thought it would be. That said, after a few minutes I had no problem staying in the sweet spot. I did not have any eye strain after playing it so far.

So my early impressions are very positive overall, I'm looking forward to playing with it more later

I've demoed the handheld at Grand Central Station in NYC multiple times now and tried out several games (street fighter, nintendogs/cats, pilotwings, steel driver, madden, and face raiders).

The Graphics are not that great.  They just aren't.  It's not a priority, but crappy graphics seems to be even more noticeable when they are magnified by the 3d effect.  I want curvy smooth images in 3d, not jagged sharp images in 3d.

The 3d effect is very small.  Some games seem to have a better 3d than others I have noticed which makes me wonder what the developers are doing different.  Some games, like nintendogs or face raiders make use of the 3d to enhance the gameplay.  A game like street fighter or madden didn't need this 3d effect at all so i say wtf to that.

The 3d effect is tough to maintain when you need to move around in a game like Face Raiders, which although fun will require readjustment constantly.

Overall not impressed, certainly not for 250$.  I need to know if the 3ds E-Shop releases (of old games in particular) will be available on the DSi, because if it is then I am going to get a ~100$ DSi XL as my next handheld purchase...

The 3D doesn't work and parts of the top screen seem to be damaged. The analog slider is of such bad quality that it makes me think it's just another d-pad. If that wouldn't be bad enough already, the graphics are lame too. I've only played Okamiden so far, but it sure looks like a last gen handheld game.

Lol.

As i've said elsewhere, optimizing the 3D requires holding it further from my head than i'm used to, which is a little off-putting. The 3D hasn't wowed me, but i haven't had a chance to try the AR cards or photography or anything but like 5 minutes of Pilotwings

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I love you guys :D

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

I love it and believe 3d is a much better addition than just more polygons. It really makes gaming more intensive for me.

It's wonderful, I like it a lot. ^^ It's definitely a vast improvement over DS (aside from the obvious graphical enhancements), stuff like the interfaces and the whole Streetpass thing are really well done, it's really great how much stuff to do Nintendo's giving you without actually buying a 3DS game.

Personally, I've had zero problems with the 3D. It works great for me, and while there is indeed a rather narrow sweet spot you need to be in to view the 3D effect, it's easily maintained, to me, and after a while it becomes second nature. The system itself is also really comfortable to hold, even with my rather large hands and after becoming so used to my DSiXL. It just feels like better quality when you're holding it, too.

Oh, and the sound's pretty well done, too, I was actually amazed the 'surround' setting works as well as it does, I could actually hear the sound coming from behind me when I passed a waterfall in Pilotwings. ^^

Also, the blue colour is dead sexy.

It's great. I love the 3d effect on the games and the other functions are really good. I came from a ds phat to this so the transition was pretty big for me. I can't wait for all the other functions to be unlocked like the store and internet. My neice loved the Ar games and I had a blast with it too.

Playing with ss4 and ridge racer was fine but in Samurai warriors I kept moving out of the Sweet spot that I pretty much turned it off as it was distracting me.

The battery did wear out pretty quick but we did pass it around to different people who each played with it at highest settings. I might get that Nyko battery pak after all.

The 3d didn't hurt while I played it for the hour and 20 minutes but afterward it took me a little bit to get used to not looking at 3d screen.
