Forums - Gaming Discussion - IGN Crysis 2 graphics 9.5 for x360 & 8.5 for ps3 !!!

x360

9.5 Graphics
Crysis 2 on Xbox 360 has taken the crown for best graphics in a console game. It's well animated and the effects are great, but light is always the star of the show.

ps3

8.5 Graphics
Crysis 2 looks great on PS3, but a worse framerate, lower resolution, and missing effects compared to the 360 release hurt it. PS3 owners expect more.

I don't like to get in these multiplat pixel counting arguments, but...

It still amazes me how IGN and all the other review sites still gave the 360 version of FF XIII the same score even though it was a whole league worse in terms of visuals than the PS3 version. And not just noticeable to pixel counters either - one version was SD while the other version was HD.

Then they can turn around and score the PS3 version lower on slight differences for other games.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Conservatives:  Pushing for a small enough government to be a guest in your living room, or even better - your uterus.

That's too harsh. No way there's a 1.0 point difference. 0.2 at most.

this is ign comparison but still i didnt see any difference ?

but i think .. hmm yah there is some framerate drop but not that much its barely noticeable.

I usually don't care a lot about graphics in a game but a bad framerate, especially for a shooter, is a big negative for me. that's probably the main reason why IGN ducked off an entire point for the PS3 version. I'll reserve my complete judgement until I get the game.

And FFXIII has the same score for graphics between the two, while the 360 has noticeably worse FMV's and a sub-HD resolution, along with bleaker textures.

IGN is quite worthless in such debates.
