They could sponsor to make tiled AR cards on the sidewalk or something and anyone with 3DS could take pics there.

Think of it as an attraction for picture taking, like a special statue of sort.

For a second I thought you meant open demo Kiosks in parks. I think that might be effective at reaching casuals. While the soccer mom comes running by on her daily run or the jock or the fat guy trying to be a jock. Jump right in their way with a 3DS and take a picture of them with an AR card.

But from what I gather you mean as a promotion. Place AR tiles on sidewalks in malls and other venues. That would be very costly. First the AR software would have to be downloaded then the sidewalks or tiles would have to be made, then rent would have to be paid to place these tiles down.

In the end it would only make sense in a few years when 3DS has about as many users as DS does. Even then only big cities like New York would be adiquate.

But wouldn't it be cool if resteraunts teamed up with Nintendo to place AR games on their kids menu's? Or 3D menu's where you can see 3D images of your food before you order.

I could see a McDonalds or Burger King AR game cards being given out in kids meals. Infact it would make a ton of sense, firstly Burger King or McDonalds would probably pay Nintendo and Nintendo would get alot of publicity. Win win for Nintendo.

Or how about AR TCG games. Each Pokemon card having AR capabilities. Playing the card game like Pokemon Stadium. Scan your card and the opponents card. select the attacks and watch the battle play out on screen in 3D in real life enviroments!

But I'm sure Nintendo has already thought of most of these things, would be cool to see if they act on these ideas.

That's actually a pretty cool idea. And so is Joelcool's idea of Nintendo teaming up with the likes of McDonald's to offer AR cards!

I'd want to see them do an AR card on a blimp and fly it across the city.

Then we get to shoot pictures from it. The sky's the limit.

Combining the AR games with large sized AR cards.

You can then created a multiplayers AR games.

For example, you and 3 friends, each taking 4 sides around the giant AR card. The 4 of you would have to cooperate to defeat the "dragon". You can use different strategies on how to beat it. You can bunch up together and defend or you can spread out and attack at all 4 sides. Something like that will take AR gaming to the next new level.

They could almost make a rotating platform for the AR card while the players are stationed. Something like a concert with rotating platform that the performers stand on.

They could make some special events like that.

Still they could randomly place the AR cards on buildings, bus stops, malls, etc... then you can just use your 3DS once you find one and play whatever it is that comes out. I think this would be great for promtoions.
