Forums - General Discussion - Best movie sequel.

Terminator 2, simply because not only was it one of the most-hyped sequels in movie history, but it was one of the few movies to not only live up to the hype and expectations, but surpass them in just about every way imagineable.  I'd probably put Aliens and Empire right behind it, and Godfather II of course.

These days its much easier to list movie sequels that were huge letdowns compared to the original... I could name at least a few dozen from just this past decade alone, and I'm sure most of you could as well.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Back to the Future part II
The Mummy Returns
Toy Story 2 3
Terminator II

BttF 2? I actually found it the weakest of the three, however I am biased as I love the music of 50's and westerns.

My choices would be, The Dark Knight and Empire Strikes Back.

I had to wait so so long to see part II after watching the first one, I think the suspense alone contributed. But now I have the boxset, the 3rd one just.. I dunno, it disappoints me somehow. I like it as part of a trilogy but that one for me is the least enjoyable. I also like 50's music, and I enjoy the odd western. Blazing Saddles is awesome xD

StarWars:AttackOfTheClones, Phantom menace didn't do it for me, but attack of the clones totally amazed me. Best sequel to a film ever!

HAHAHAHAHAHA. You so silly. :P

Seriously though, Toy Story 3 was epic. I also agree with the empire strikes back. That was the best star wars movie hands down.

Part 1 and 3 are on the same level for me, with Part 2 just below them. I love Cristopher Lloyd (the Doc), so the third one focusing more on him with the love story gives it the advantage. It also ties everything together with Marty learning to ignore people calling him chicken and the flying train at the end was full of win.

You have a point.. I don't know why I didn't like it so much, I think I just thought they'd gone far enough. Or it might have been the bit about Doc Brown deciding to stay in the past

Those movies have some of the best quotes ever. "If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits eighty-eight miles per hour... you're gonna see some serious shit"

Ghost In the Shell 2
or
Empire Strikes Back I think.

Biggest improvement from 1 to 2 is probably Dark Knight in my opinion.

The Godfather II. One of the best movies of all time and even a little better than the first one IMO.

Hey I was serious, I was alittle dissapointed by Phantom Menace, but when Attack of the Clones came out I was freaking exstatic. I gotta say I anticipated Revenge Of the Sith more then Attack of the Clones. But Attack of the Clones in my opinion was a better movie. Of course I love all the StarWars films and Empire Strikes Back is definatly one of the best movies ever made!

i think you must of mistaken Die Hard 2 with 3

3 was the best of the 4 movies, the one with Samual Lee Jackson

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong
