Forums - Gaming Discussion - Who Wants a Kessen 4?

I just got done beating Kessen 1 again (on the east side) and once again it does not fail to be quite awsome. For such a old game its still a game i love to play. The game was fantastic and still today is one of my top favorite strategy games of all times.

Now has anyone heard if a kessen 4 is every going to be made?

I would adore it to death if they made it with battles from 1, duals and combat from 2, and the story from 3. Combined it would be plain awsome.

Also talk about which one was your favorite kessen (between 1 2 and 3) and why or why not

My favorite is kessen 1 because of its combat, kessen 2 was great but not quite kessen 2. I really disliked kessen 3 combat but the story was great.

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

I own the first Kessen and I enjoyed a lot, I bought it at launch (yeah I've owned a PS2 since launch) and it was one of my favorite games I remember I hated SSX and spent much time playing Kessen.

As for RTS's goes I think that Kessen is very good although not very deep, it is a very good game for people that are starting to play RTS's.

Maybe I'd buy a Kessen 4 if it was very good and deep.

My favorite strategy game for PS2 was turn-based and is called Ring of Red. I'd buy a sequel for that game for sure.

ive had alot of RTS much deeper than kessen but kessen is just enjoyable

bump btw

It might be fun. All i've played is a little bit of 3. Which i wasn't in the mood for since it seemed like a big part of the game was special skill spamming.

I liked the first one , the second one dissapointed me a bit , and 3 ... well I never played it . I dont say that I wouldent like it , but as an avid PSP fan , I would like to see a PSP version of the game :)

I thought Kessen was just the old Dynasty Warriors?

yea 3 was a huge step in the wrong direction
for some reason in 3 they made the combat like squad dynasty warriors which was lame

i played the first kessen quite a while back and thats what really got me into RTS games, so i've always had a found memory of it... i also liked two alot since it seemed longer and they added more features, and to be honest i didn't kno there was a 3 as i haven't ever seen it in a shop in the uk. the thing about kessen is i like the characters (yes same characters as dynasty warriors) and the story it brings to the table.

if there was a 4 i would buy it, as long as they made it longer, as i remember completeing the 1st and 2nd ones really quickly.

Kessen was pretty unique really for me, i played it before I really got into RTS' but i still really enjoyed it. A 4th would be great, Id most likely buy it.

Kessen 2 was one of my favorites. Kessen 3 was Okay, but I would buy a Kessen 4 in a heart beat. Liu Bei and Cao Cao kick ass!
