Video gaming has been in existence for nearly three decades. In those 30 years, many genres were created due to advancements in computer technology and different audiences to appeal to. Through these years, there have been many titles that fall into these genres of gaming. Some genres are still going strong today, while others have short of jumped ship. In this article, I will discuss a genre I, personally, believe jumped ship. What was once revolutionary, is now just a shadow of what it use to be.

I love this article's generalisation.Just because RE5 and Dead Space feel a lot more like shooters than survival horror games the genre has died.Where is Lost in Nightmares and RE:Revelations when talking about how he didn't like RE5?Where is Condemned and Shattered Memories when talking about Amnesia?

 

I understand that having the franchise that pretty much created the genre defect is a big blow to it he completely forgot to mention the REboot that is currently in progress and many other games that still stick to the Survival and Horror roots.

 

 

tl;dr

Survival Horror doesn't need no fixing.
