To everyone saying that Japan has not requested foreign aid... I guess that the US, Australia, NZ, SK, and Russia FORCED themselves onto helping Japan? They have all sent humanitary supplies/rescue teams to the country who are all actively participating in the effort to make this whole mess a bit better - because since the quake and up until now, it only got worse. This "Japan doesn't need anyone" attitude is factually wrong.

You missed out the UK...  we are ALWAYS amongst the first along with the US.

Anyway...  you are bang on with this post.  The mood is changing in Japan, not only are they actively seeking help there is also a change in mood.  Fingers are beginning to be pointed within japan and the organisation of a lot of things seems to be wanting.

Fukushimas Prefecture Governor is not happy at all and the Tokyo Electric Power Company is looking like it may make BP appear like a bunch of tree huggers.

I actually searched for the countries that are involved in aid, but google gave me nothing but the first four, and Russia I got from a Russian news site. Sorry about that ;) Also, there are French nuclear experts involved as well.

And yeah, heads WILL roll. After this, I really doubt that the TEP will be covering up so much. We won't have a nuclear explosion if you listen to what the experts say, but sadly, there will always be quakes as long as Japan is seismically sensitive.

Yup... I feel really stupid now - http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/japan-requests-british-help-over-earthquake-2240130.html

It just gets worse over there...

Now temperatures are plummeting, snow is falling.

In Tokyo the streets are very quiet, everyone is staying indoors.

The Yen is rising massively, new all time high against the Dollar again , the previous record stood since 1995! (investors are piling in assuming repatriation of funds to pay for insurance pay-outs and reconstruction).. this is not what the already struggling Japanese companies will want to hear.

It is now  turning into both a humanitarian AND an economic nightmare.

Also we now here that the people are losing respect for the Governemnt... this is unheard of in Japan, unheard of.

Hard to say, given that in the last decade or so, they're changing governments like I change clothes. All else. though, is very much spot on. I have faith in them, however. They're a survivor people.

actually yes... perhaps I should have said authority figures rather than government...

Ah, that I get. Indeed, that is not something you usually see there.

Donated blood for Japan yesterday.

I do not do monetary donations, tho I will continue to support Japan through the purchase of many anime/video games.

I did think of importing some games instead, but who knows how much help it'll do. 'sides, if Japan doesn't use the money, then some other country will for sure.

Another thanks to the donators, and thanks to darth for helping me get the word out.

I was going threw the post in this thread and I saw your post about importing games to help Japan.

If you want to buy games and also help Japan, get it from Play-Asia. They are donating part of the money they get from certain sales to the Red Cross for the Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami Relief.

Here's the link for you and whoever else would be interested. I posted the link to one of the games that have a donation attached to it so people can see what the donation items look like (it will say  the amount of donation in the title of the item). 1/3 of the money from this game or $5 is going to the relief effort.

(Not everything they are selling will be tied to a donation. Check the title of the item to see how much will be donated.)

Playstation All-Stars is one of the best games I've played this gen, and is the most fun I've had in a game this gen.

Yup, I already added it in the OP, albeit with less details that you've given me. I'll ordain a major update to this thread tomorrrow, gotta spark up the attention since the current state of affairs in Japan is nowhere near what you'd call "improving".

Thread updated with new ways to donate and with some videos, and in the spirit of the update, Ganbare, VGCHARTZ!

i stopped giving when i realized that the beggars were always the same people  and that they disapeared during vacation periods....

i extended that to global relief too.
