My name is a combination of my first name -- Mike and my first game system -- an Intellivision.

My avatar is a picture of my first game system -- an Intellivision (OK, it is really a stock picture of an Intellivision that I found on the web ... but it is the thought that counts).

Mike from Morgantown

PS -- My sig is my first name and where I live/work (actually I live outside of Morgantown in Westover, but Mike from Westover doesn't sound as cool).

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

mine is yoshiboots for yoshi boots are awsome. and then its a picture of yoshi because yoshi is the most awsome dinosaur ever.

My Name comes from a character i used to draw in comics when i was younger. He was a stick (tree branch) and i called him Rick (because it rhymed with stick). I also threw 2 in there because it just so happens to be the greatest form of a number ever conceived by man.

My Avatar come from my obsession with all things Metroid. I also believe that Metroid should have a darker feel towards the whole thing (or at least Samus herself).

I like the whole concept of avatars and screenames, it gives you a sense of who you're dealing with. And i really like Mummelmann's avatar.

My name is a combination of two things: Qui-Gon Jinn from Star Wars: Episode 1 and TCB(Taking Care of Business, Elvis' logo/motto).

My avatar is pretty obvious, Pit from Kid Icarus.

The reasoning behind them all is just because they are all things I identify with and enjoy.

My alias mostly came about because I wanted something to allow me to fit in on alt.games.final-fantasy better. So I picked a random sword from FF3US. This was about... oh, a decade or so ago. I've just kept it because (as I found on IRC recently) it's hard to get people to adjust to a new alias.

My avatar's a cute little squirrel toy my mom had as a kid. She gave it to me when I asked for it, and I figured I might as well make a picture of it my avatar.

Words Of Wisdom said:
My name is what it is. Those who agree with me will consider it fitting and those who do not... will not.

In the end, it's likely a misnomer anyway as words are only as wise as the one reading/hearing them. For example, I could easily describe the ion-method of balancing redox reactions in electrochemistry but few people here would likely grasp the underlying principles of it. The words become less meanginful to the audience as those among it are incapable of deciphering what they are hearing/reading.

As for my picture, I believe avatars should represent the poster's interests and/or personality. I think my avatars tend to reflect my personality. Though I somewhat miss the aloof/distant feeling I had with my second avatar. My 3rd (and current) one has a more arrogant feel to it...

But a truely wise person would understand the difference between knowledge and wisdom, and know they are no mutually inclusive. Being able to wax scientific about redox reactions is no impdication of wisdom what so ever.

True wisdom can be grasped by all who hear it (provided its in a language they understand) as true wisdom does not have a prerequisite of any knowledge.

The need for a mutual means of communication invalidates most of your claim.

mine is Zelda from ssbb and Zelda is my fav character and i will love ssbb when it comes out.

My name is what my friend would say when anyone near him did anything cool. My photo is of myself.
