An disaster on al sides...Plenty of casualties...  and on the financial markets some see this as an death strike for the Japanese economy who finally was on his way to recover.. The next of couple of years the Japanese economy will feel it...

Could have been the same earthquake that hit New Zealand.  Sounds like the magnitude could have been anywhere from 5 - 6. I dread to see next weeks media create, maybe they have been affected too.

Magnitude was 8.9, that is a deadly shake.

first of all fuck you for tryin to relate that to earthquake right now..

people are dying, and suffering. talk about something else.

i'm in tokyo right now, and everybody is scared shitless from this. its not a time to talk about 3ds sales.

Wow man I am so sorry about what is happening in Japan right now… for those who died my you rest in peas and for those who lost loved ones may god be with you… stay strong guys.

Lol I hate these moments I never know what too say as there is nothing that can make things better :S

that´s what your worried about!!!!?

I feel like people are unfairly attacking Snakenobi on this topic. We are on a video game sales website, it makes sense that a topic will be about how an event will impact video game sales.

If people want to talk about the the human tragedy of this event (which it is), then there are more appropriate outlets for that discussion. Ridiculing a poster for bringing up a relevant topic seems harsh.

On topic: I do think that the earthquake will negatively impact sales of all videogames and systems. This being the 3DS' launch period may mean it misses out on some of the initial excitement that comes with a launch period and it may be challening to respark that interest later.

Good to see amidst disaster and destruction some people have their priorities sorted.

Exactly what I thought after reading the thread title.

I just hate it when u guys play smartass... The OP's was a perfectly valid question for a gaming forum named vgchartz... Instead of doing those comments and to be consistent with what you write, go to other internet sites and discuss the better way to help japanese people who have been harmed by this disaster.

Yeah you're right. How insensitive of us.
