PC > XBOX 360 > PS3 ONCE AGAIN

how dare you use five years of historical trends to predict the future

90% MULTIPLATFORM GAMES GOING THIS     PC > XBOX 360 > PS3
 THIS IS THE TRUTH.  SIMPLE!!!

*Yawn* No one even has 90% of the multiplats so that's useless.

PS3 > PC > X360 IN GRAPHIC... AWARDS! LOL (95%!!)
No seriously, go look up most GOTY sites.

2008 MGS4
2009 Uncharted 2 / Killzone 2
2010 GoW3
2011 Uncharted 3 / Killzone 3 (mark my words damnit!)

Most people ignore the PC so... HA!!

Not suprisingly the PC version is superior and by the sound of things is only running in Direct X9 (which is what my PC runs considerring I'm still on Win XP). People running in Direct X11 should see a significant improvement on that vid.

PC wins on texture quality, environmental detail, AA, particle effects, view distance (I think, or perhaps it's just texture quality again) and especially in lighting. It also shows superior/realistic physics based on the cloth blowing in the wind in the vid.

i'm suprised at how well my computer runs crysis 2.

crysis 2 GOTY contender for me. (at least I'm expecting it to be...).

Let's get this out of the way right now, the 360 version of the game looks phenomenal! Probably the best looking multiplatform game yet. That said, the differences are pretty significant (it became much more apparent when they moved to the Skyline footage). Lighting, textures, resolution, and post processing all look a good deal better on the PC version.

It doesn't look too good that consoles can't do it though, so I wonder if the 360 (or PS3) would look at least close to the PC version if it was exclusive to either console.

I wouldn't say closer, but marginally better than what it is at least, even if it was something like PC/PS3 or PC/X360, but I really doubt that this game will have any large impact on the PS3 crowd, just doesn't seem like the sort of game they'd be interested in.

I say this often, but people said the same thing about HEAVY RAIN.

Seriously, Crysis 2 looks fantastic on PC, but it doesn't look so much better than the 360 version that it comes off as impossible on console. I dare say that what I saw from Killzone 3 looks better than the PC version (which tells me Crysis 2 looks nowhere near as good as the original on PC - for obvious reasons).

I THINK KILLZONE 3 LOOKS BETTER AND FROM BF 3. LOL!!

COME ON! HOW CAN SAY THIS   -  KILZONE 3 > CRYSIS 2 PC VERSION, WHEN YOU CAN'T EVEN PLAY ALL THE GAME SO FAR!  SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH

Well other than the exclusives and COD franchises which FPS games have took off phenomenally  on PS3 though? Heavy Rain was an untested market of sorts, people doubted it — that's quite understandable because it didn't have much evidence to back up its future performance, ended up surprising quite a few people.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

obviously the PC version looks better, but puhlease don't do like it's a generation ahead or so.

A few years ago the HD consoles were apparently not strong enough to even run Crysis on low settings and now we see a really good looking Crysis 2 on them. With probably better visuals than 90% of all active pc gamers could ever run them on their machines.

Think you're stretching the true there...

Anyway, I haven't bothered to watch the vid yet but why are they comparing it in the first place? Wait till the game comes out on pc and 360/ps3, and crytek have released a patch for dx11 settings and we will see just how 'large' the gap in graphics will be.

Oh man,  now I am contemplating cancelling my PC Preorder and just skipping until its gets cheap.  I knew that going to the city environments and moving to the consoles would greatly reduce its quality.

Al least it will give me more time to play Minecraft

Do it! Really it will be on sale on Steam for like 75% or more at the end of the year. Get it then like me.

This way you show you support PC development, but hate shit ports! PC main plat!

I doubt it will be 75% off by end of this year. Highly doubt it. Anyway, the game is fun regardless...if you like it buy it straight away. Gamers (especially pc gamers) can be whining bitches--case in point DA2, and now crysis 2.

There will be patches for crysis 2 on pc soon after its release (obvious). However, for the time being crytek are focused on the console version/s.

whoa, you're right - that's the demo on max settings and the only diff is da light ray effect

the pc demo is a port of the 360 demo--they didn't even bother to change the "press start" message at the begining for the pc version! thought it was patched in later because pc gamers had a hissy fit.

also there's really no such thing as 'max settings' for the demo as the game is unfinished and crytek haven't added advanced graphical settings...

If you want to see what any indication of what crysis 2 will look like on youtube for crysis 2 beta with most graphic settings turned on via the console.

edit: here's the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqCaEyItT7M also note that it's only in dx9 and they are still yet to add dx 11...
