This looks interesting.  Does anyone know any concrete information about its quality?  Reviews have been decent, but does anyone here have any hands on experience?

It's great better then mass effect imo.

This game has a extremely high user review score on metacritic, which is definately saying something.
More than the 'critic' reviews that give hyped games high scores and user reviews tend to be lower (like crysis. But witcher seems critically acclaimed by players.

In every forum I go they tend to praise the game. What I can say for sure is that it will be mine after Xmas.

 Btw: Hype isn't everything, the game reportedly sold a lot (maybe even more than overhyped Crysis)

The Witcher is the best RPG of 2007. Better than Mass Effect definitely.

I'll dedicate my first post on this site to this game. The Witcher is awesome. Most of the issues with the game have been resolved with patches. I've gone through the game once, and I am playing through a second time now to get a different ending. There are three different endings depending on the choices you make. It's a great game, with one of the best realized worlds. I've played through just about every major release on the PC this year, and this is the only game I've gone back to for a second run.

Hey good question! I was wondering the same thing after seeing Game Spy award it best PC RPG. I'll add it to my wishlist.

 The game sold over 1.5 million worldwide in an extermly shot ammount of time , and Crysis barely passed the 200k worldwide in 3 weeks lol ... BTW UT 3 bombed on the PC to :(
