My modest ATi 5750 can deal to provide me with awesome graphics for this game... I can't imagine what I could do with the 6850 I wanted prior to getting it.

This is a very beautiful game.

it looks stunning on my 5770 with only a few performance issues in the most intensive areas. I wish I had a system that could handle whatever UberSampling is.

Well, I guess we'll have a great excuse to replay it once we have updated our hardware, whenever that is. :P

Still, I'm getting a higher performance than on a PS3 and that's more than enough, really.

I just got this game last night and so far it's been great. The package is really pretty; I was expecting a regular game box, but it's actually embossed and has foil coating on the metallic bits on Geralt's sword and medallion. I also like how the smaller DVD cases within are pullout. The game's graphics are gorgeous on my GTX 260, it almost looks like they have subsurface scattering on the skin, though not entirely realistically.  The gameplay reminds me of Demons' Souls, with its difficulty at the beginning of the game and the necessity of kiting enemies so you can take them on one by one.

Currently playing: Gran Turismo 5
Just finished:
Infamous 2

I absolutely love this game.  It's revolutionary, immersive, entertaining, uber challenging, beautiful and dark.  What more could any gamer ask for?

Calasade Fantasy Novels -- visually entertaining dark tales with high fantasy blended into sword and sorcery.

Calasade: Catalysts -- Book One of Three. 'Tis a pebble that can serve as the catalyst which changes the entire world.  I have seen such a one.  His name was Gilinard.  He saved Calasade before casting it into the Age of Decadence...Lost Isles' Keeper of Secret Knowledge

i only have a 5700 card and i dont' do no overclocking or whatever fancy thigns you can do.

but witcher 2 looks just gorgeous and strangely enough runs smoother than the first witcher on my pc.

i play on high settings with uber and blur off.

I have mentioned before that I've been allergic to RPGs for veeery long, ever since I tried my first RPG which was Pagan Ultima VIII (awesome manual, pretty crappy game apparently). But maybe I'll try The Witcher 2 and it might help or cure me...

it might not change anything too haha the combat is MUCH different, but if you're allergic to conversation and running around doing errands, you'll remain so.

No, that game was just really crappy, I later found out that even Ultima fans hated it. By then it was too late...

the first witcher was crippled by the Bioware Aurora engine which with what CDP were tring to get it to do was very CPU heavy but crippled by the fact that it could only use 1 CPU thread so it run like crap on most computers at the time especially duelcore sytems.

Also aparently the Japanese version of TW2 is still on

CD Projekt and a Japanese publisher agreed at the start of the project that the publisher would complete the Japanese translation of The Witcher 2 and handle distribution of this version in Japan. News regarding the game’s release in Japanese generated some misunderstandings, for which we must apologize to fans.

The intention from the outset was to release the Japanese version concurrently with the world-wide release of the game and the other language versions in May of this year. Unfortunately, work on the Japanese localization was delayed. Though we cannot guarantee this, a Japanese language pack may become available for download at an as yet undetermined time in the future, subsequent to the release in Japan of the Japanese version of the game."
