Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Do Kinect games suck so much that MS has to pay people to buy them?

I was thinking of Kinectimals, but it doesn't have multiplayer does it? I've been using the Kinect mostly for the multiplayer. =/

I was also thinking of Joyride.  Anyone play that? Worth the money? I knew at one point it was free so I'm kind of worried of throwing down the $50 bucks for it. Unless of course, MS pays me again >:3

(On another note: What's the code on the back of the Dance Central instruction guide?)

I actually got the demo of XBLA hated it, played the demo through Kinect Adventures and was intrigued, they have different play styles I swear, if it is like the Kinect Adventures one then yes.

By the way, I didnt get money from Dance Central... I am not impressed by this relevation

BTW I just checked my game booklet and it also has a number, ill try typing it into xbla and ill let you know, could also be a registration code.

Is there anything in the forum rules about fake/misleading titles?  If so, this thread should definitely be closed.

read the paragraph, he asks for opinions, doesnt mean his second point should be ignored

Why? I got a Kinect game, it had free MS points in it, I came asked the question, answered the question, then immediately derailed my thread.

I asked for opinions on my answer in the OP. If you want go ahead and answer it.

hmm. I forgot that Kinect Adventures had demos. I'll have to check that out later :)

I figured it was just some points to download some DLC for the game or something. I'll probably end up buying a handful of songs on the Zune marketplace.

Please do! :D

I once got banned for making two threads with misleading titles, but then again I got banned for so many weird things that the same standard shouldn't be applied to the community as a whole.

hahahha seeing the different standards happen a few times. I dont know why but person x says one thing then person y says the same thing and gets banned.

Though this is somewhat different as Kinect is still the subject matter.

It's a code
Hold on to it

With the RockBand series the codes are used to "import" songs from older games in the series for use in the newest game in the series
The import has not been free

So, expect that with Dance Central 2, this will come in use

I found that BINGing

I see people saying this a lot, it's not exactly true.  The game as it is on the disc was never meant to be free.  What they had originally intended was to give you the base game free, with a couple of modes, limited tracks and limited cars.  Then they were going to be selling new modes, tracks, cars, paintjobs, upgrades etc as microtransactions.   Kind of like Xbox live avatars.  They give you a selection of free stuff and charge you for anything cool.  Plus who knows how much extra stuff they added after changing it to be a Kinect game.

As for the game itself, I only tried the demo and it wasn't nearly as bad as some people had said.  I was able to control the car quite easily and actually thought it was kind of fun.  I would recommend trying the demo out yourself.

Hmm. A quick google search says it doesn't do anything. Though the general consensus is that it's an import code for Just Dance 2.

Though I did find this xD
