Yep, bigger maps, better graphics and hopefully the game developed as a PC game.

It's always amusing that whenever somebody says things like this, PC haters start freaking out.
While I'm not a graphics whore and I'm fine also with mid-entry level GPUs and CPUs, bigger main RAM benefits FTW, they include, as some of you just wrote, being able to manage bigger maps and worlds, more players at once, and also, I add, more objects, more NPCs (this applies more to single player, but also to MMOGs), not only in the whole map, but also simultaneously in a single scene. If big RAM is helped by powerful CPUs and GPUs too, to all this high detail and graphics quality can be added, making happy both graphics whores and gameplay fans.
Every time someone mentions 'PC gaming dying', I can't help thinking of this picture:
Also, usually I can't help posting it.

OT: I wonder what the PC benefits of Battlefield 3 will be? |
Much more players (64 on PC, 24 on consoles), dedicated servers (could be on consoles too, though I don't think there's any reason to think so yet), better graphics (obviously), probably easier and more versatile controls and quick chat options (really, quick chat is great), customizable controls. I don't think they've actually confirmed much of that but it should be pretty obvious.
I just like to think those who think "PC gaming is dying" are just trolls.
I don't care. I do care actually as I want this genre and Civ to stay on PCs.
I'm just very happy that BF3 is not BFBC2 in that it was built on PC and ported to consoles.
Sorry, but PC FPS is 1000% better than any console configuration.

You'd be surprised how many people still believe that PC Gaming is declining.
fps_d0minat0r said: one thing worse than dying is torture and thats what pc is going through every time they have a game cancelled or someone makes a game for xbox/ps3 but not pc.....oh and when a pc exclusive goes to console (soon diablo III according to job listings) its not dead but IT IS dying. |
So thats why there are more exclusives on PC every year then all consoles and handhelds put together... ok then.

Anything in BF2 PC will be in BF3 PC. So quick chat will be there.

So, the usual benefits then.
All right, cool.
