Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Robot Entertainment announces Orcs Must Die! for XBLA

Don't think this has been posted but it's an interesting piece of news nonetheless. Robot Entertainment (studio formed by former Ensemble employees) earlier today announced a strategy game entitled Orcs Must Die! for Xbox Live Arcade, to be released this summer. Check out the source page for the announcement trailer. Looks like a fun game.

the announcement said "pc and consoles"  no actual mention of which consoles, and im not so sure that it means anything other than the 360... this is robot entertainment.... some of the ensemble guys that still have a good working relationship with microsoft and announced this game at a microsoft event.  its announced for summer so it might even be in the SoA

Yeah, it's been annound for more than just 360.  And apparently Robot are no longer working on Age of Empires Online.  Microsoft has given that job to Gas Powered Games.

Well IGN seems to think it's PSN as well, and the "consoles" part is enough evidence for me. Just because it was announced at a MS event doesn't mean it's exclusive..

What stuff have they done before?

Most notably the amazing Supreme Commander, followed by the horribly mediocre Supreme Commander 2.  Plus some other stuff like Dungeon Siege and Demigod.

I just talked to him on twitter and asked him about the consoles thing and this is his response

"we haven't announced specifics for consoles just yet, but everyone should be happy ;)" should be multi haha

Chris Taylor also designed Total Annihalation so they are very RTS savvy.

from why I heard supreme commander 2 seemed to console heavy for an RTS that was on PC.
