PS3 is doing significantly better in Others compared to 360 because this the first Christmas PS3 has seen in that region. Wii's increase is only "marginally better" because it is supply constrained. They are selling every unit they can produce. If they shipped an additional 500,000 units a week to the U.S. then they would have 500,000 more sales a week. Lets see how sales are in January. Wii will still be flying off the shelves and PS3 will be stockpiled in stores waiting for another price cut.

PS3 is a failure even if it goes to number 1..........you are absolutely flaming in a big, big way. Why are you posting that in a Sony discussion? Your logic is, "because Sony didn't dominate immediately, they fail."

The forums are here for gamers of all persuasions, so unless you're in a thread specifically geared towards platform comparison/discussion, keep your anti-platform comments out of the thread. Note that there is a difference between having a reasonable argument in the correct thread and trolling.

    • I would avoid putting something so blatantly against the rules in your sig. Some of us like Sony, and you're clealy trying to get a reaction.

    A lot of people are not going to get it though. kirby007 agrees with the statement and hunter_alien is getting a mob with pitch forks to head over to the nintendo boards.....

     



    Prediction:

    The PS2 & PS3 will outsell the Wii in 2008.

    Lifetime sales of PS3 in Japan will be at least 8 million consoles.

    One of Sony's own execs said they expect to "break even" on the console sometime in 2009. If a company openly admits that over a year and a half in advance, losses are pretty substantial. It also means that huge price cuts are also out of the question.

    That kinda shoots your point all to hell.

    It also seems to depend on what you're a fan of.  If you're a Wii fan you can make crazy/insane predictions and win a popularity contest on this website.  If you're a PS3 fan and make similar ones, you get ridiculed.

    JL faced a lot of coments like the ones that CrazzyMan is taking, but in the end he was right, maybe CrazzyMan is rigth too...

    Now, think a little about his predictions, yeah, he sounds like a crazzyman, mostly because he is highly biased towards sony and is claming victory to soon (Remember this is a gaming site, so is harder to take a opinion as a fact if comes with almost zero backup and from a fanboy who call us stupids)...

    Maybe he is the new JL (Unlikely I know)

    The Wii and 360 are benefitting from the holidays, whereas the PS3 is benefitting form the holidays and a price cut. Not to mention that the Wii is severely supply constrained.

    Look, yopu don't dominate when you just barely managed to get an extra 2%. It's the holiday serason, but Sony fanboys forget that and call it a glorious victory, and here we have the Wii and DS still dominating. Sonyfans need to STFU at this point becuase it's at the point of just shear stupidity and lack for any knowledge. It's not uncanny that a system would got up about a million or two during the holiday season and after a price cut. And the 360 and Wii haen't had a huge price drop yet, so the ball is still in their court.

    To all Sony fans: Please stop making these topics.

    I think these topics are getting old too, but you're free to just not read them.  If it really bothers you so much, perhaps you should skip the Sony forum when posting.  If you disagree with someone's beliefs or opinions, do so in a civil manner without attacking the individual.  VG Chartz will be a better place for it.
