Look at the Playstation 3 now! Over 7.75 million Playstation 3 consoles have been sold, and Sony now owns 19.5% of the market share! The Playstation 3 beat the Wii in Japan for two weeks in a row, and is stealing market share from the Xbox 360. Why? Price drops, and better games. Once Metal Gear Solid 4 is released, the Playstation 3 will become a legend! It will be the greatest game on the system! Blu-Ray is winning the movie format war, and if it wins, Sony's chances of domination will increase even more! Rumble is coming back too. Sony's back, and it could get revenge on the Xbox 360. For the longest time, only around 6 million Playstation 3 consoles were sold, and now there are almost 8 million. The Playstation 3 is catching up to the Xbox 360, and could finally get its revenge. I am not saying that the Playstation 3 will win this generation, but you really have to hand it to Sony. The Playstation 3 is officially not sucking any more!

Sometimes, you confuse me.

Its still having only average sales everywhere in the world for this time. Its main strenghth is their stranglehold in France, Italy, and Germany. It has no real foothold still in America, Japan, or the Uk. The Xbox 360 is not doing better. Im not saying that at all. Xbox fails everywhere outside of America. Im just making an objective observation.

This is just getting sad.

Here's the funny thing with market share, you can still be losing ground but still increase your market share. Funny isn't it?

People seem to forget that this is Christmas time. You know, that time of the year where the two largest gaming markets spend all their cash?

I could also point to how the Wii, 360, and DS are all selling at more than average rates (Wii even being supply constrained).

I predict things will be right back at the usual pace for Sony (and the others) after the season is over. Wii might get extended sales though, since people will still be scrambling to get them.

why don't you mention spain ? it actually sells the best in spain

Well knowing some people preached failure of the 40 gig for not having BC. It has helped Sony stay competitive with the 360 and some part the Wii WW.

The PS3 has also had people change their sigs from 6 million PS3's at the end of 07 to 8 million.
