Ah, right, Mirror Shard. That would be after Stallord, then. Never mind.

Tell you what

Don't bother with Wind Waker

Windwaker has always interested me because of the art style ofcourse. I don't even know if ill ever to get play it, none of my friends own it lol. You should seriously play infamous though. I want you to tear that game to shreds so we could really get into some debate xD

I am not that interested in playihng inFamous when I have so many other games on my plate and on the horizon. That's all there is to it.

Where did replayability go? Shot in the head in a basement in Yekaterinberg, unless you want to frag people online...

Strange that you say that city. One of my best friends is from there :D

Yekaterinberg Russia? Where the Tsars were killed?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

No. There's no reciprocity to be had in that bet.

radiant you are the perfect example of what a huge part of the divide between modern and old school games are. you put a lot of importance on the story, not that it is a bad thing, and that is what turns alot of gamers who prefer older games. i am with the older games crowd though. i understand what you're saying about not finishing games that are not story driven, but i dont agree with you. for me, game characters dont need a backstory to explain everything. the reason i play games is to play the game, which may sound stupid, but its true. i play rpgs to explore the battle system, see the world that is built, find hidden secrets and make the characters my own. i play platformers to explore the world, run around and experiment with the controls, and play in my own style. story is good, but games like zelda, mario, etc. convey more in the gameplay, which i think is what alot of people who like older games miss.

Everyday I'm hustlin'.

I'll take Fallout 3, Uncharted 2 and Call of Duty 4 (including online) over any 3 games you can name from any of the previous generations.

Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario Brothers, Ocarina of TIme (And I´m a Sony Fanboy)

I like the old Mario games as much as the next guy but I think people are way too nostalgic over them. I get that they're timeless classics but after having played modern games there's no way I could go back to playing 2D mario games for any extended period of time. I think I'd get bored very quickly.

I can't really comment on DKC or OoT because I never owned a N64, the only time I played those games were briefly at my friends houses.

But as for what the OP (and you) were saying about graphics becoming more important than gameplay I do agree that sucks ass. As much as I like a nice looking game I'll take content/gameplay over looks any day.

@ radiantshadow  You should try out Metroid: Other M.  The more that I read your posts, the more that I'm convinced that you'd love it.

I'm not saying this as an insult.  It's just that our opinions on games are about as different as can be.

This thread is hilarious. Some of you people are blinded by nostalgia.
