They have a nice stranglehold in those countrys while they continue to have average sales every where else in the world. I can clearly say that America is the only thing keeping Xbox from being Dreamcasted but America is clearly the largest region for games so it cannot be ignored. Can PS3 survive if it doesnt get a better foothold in countries like Japan the UK or America?

I think a better question is, is America keeping 360 from being dreamcasted. As Playstation brand has at least noticeable appeal outside of those areas, at least enough to get a good share. What does 360 have outside of America. UK?

@Zucas, I already said that America is indeed the only thing keeping Xbox from being Dreamcasted. I dont believe anyone argues that point, but at the same time, America is the largest region for games so it is a very powerful foothold.
Ps: I am not sure but the PS3 already have sold so much like DC did in his whole life. Or almost so much.
