Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I doubt it, even if they did it would be unsustainable for a period of more than 6 months, 10.8 million in 3 months would easily quench demand and then ninty would be stuck with 3.6 million wii's that weren't going anywheres

wow how the analysts are starting to change their opinions on the Wii.

pre launch --- 360 will stay steady, PS3 will be huge and dominate out the gate. Wii will only get 18-20m in lifetime.

6 months later -- 360 will stay steady, Ps3 will begin to increase around holiday. Wii will eventually slow down and remain in 3rd with around 25m.

Now -- holy bat cow batman!! Wii will dominate even the PS2 lifetime, ps3 won't due well until 2009 and 360 will stay steady.

Bunch of losers. John Lucas should have your jobs!!!

You assume too much, likely Wii would keep selling into the hundreds of millions

Demand wise yes. But I don't know if Nintenod could produce 3.6 million Wiis a month. I think the highest amount of Wii's they could produce a month is 2.5 million.

@ Avinash_Tyagi
you assume too little, therefore you must be bat shit insane, 3.6 million is unsustainable, can you prove otherwise sir!

I would say the proof is the fact that it has been sold out across the US for the last year. That is unprecedented. It is currently ontrack to sell ~2.8 million a month (~700k a week) and that is with America not getting anywhere near the amount that is desired currently. I would guess that Japans current insane level of demand is causing shipments to be diverted away as the Wii sales are rising there as fast as they are falling here. This says a ton about Europes current demand since they are not losing any of their stock. We can't possible know unless it happens, but there is some evidence to back his claims.
