i belive its going to be $299. This price point will also give it a fighting chance against the 3ds and who knows maybe 5 years from now we will be talking about how sony took nintendo out of the handheld market LOL

I hope Sony realize NGP is a handheld. So don't shoot for $399. Please make it $299 and I will get it on day one (if there is actually one available)!!!

This is disappointing....

 

Retailing the ps3 at five hundred and ninety nine US dollars was giving people more incentive to work two jobs, and therefore was effectively combating obesity in america as well as increasing productivity in gamers. If Sony really cares about it's customers, they'll also make this five hundred and ninety nine US dollars....
