Ok, this isn't a discussion or make a point thread. I just want to ask a quick question and I'll even be locking the thread after.

Ok, does the Ps3 or 360 have an equivalent to Virtual Console gifting? Is it possible on Arcade live or the PSN  to buy a game for another person's system? or to pay for a game someone else buys?

Could PS3 or 360 users do some sort of gift exchange?

You can buy an MS points card for someone, and PSN is getting cards soon as well.

So I guess the answer is no you cannot buy a specific game you can just give them the equivalent of a gift certificate.

On the 360 you can recommend games to people though not sure you can buy it for them. Might also be able to give MS points but again not sure. On the PS3 I know you can buy a psn game and actually is like buying 5 as you can install it or download it on other consoles at least that is what my cousin told me.

Make a new account, give the person the details and let them sign and download one of the copies of the game you get, and there's your present.

Ive seen Microsoft points at Target with specfic games on them as pre purchased. Like there is a $5 geometry wars points card. Its good to the purchase of the game.

Theres a way to do it on the X360, to where you can gift it to someone. However, Im not privy as to how it's done at the moment.

Alright. Here's why I ask. I'd like to make a Christmas game giving thread, in where people pair up and get eachother a game for christmas, I'm just hoping that everyone can partake and not just Wii owners.

Yep, every game on psn (except Warhawk) can be shared by 5 accounts...lol, this really hurts Sony's sales of psn games because we just share games with our buddies or trade them.
