Make it powerful, more powerful than the PS3. Make the controller have all kinds of sensors, including a pulse sensor, make a sensor for brain wave recognition as an extension of the controller. Include a love tester in the bundle or make it part of a separate launch game.

Even if the next Nintendo was ten time more powerful than the PS3, most Third Party's would still not develop games for a Nintendo system.

Yeah, Wii 2 is a terrible name. Personally I think that "Wii HD" sounds great, as long as the masses knew it wasn't just an HD version of the same Wii.

I think Wii HD would make masses thing its just the HD version of the Wii. I think it would be a lot safer not to add HD as graphics of the games (should ) imply this aspect of the console. I personally like super wii the best.

I think something that people have not mentioned is when to release it. IMO they would be better off releasing it a year or a year an a half before sony and microsoft. Releasing earlier than that might make it seem old once sony and microsofts console finally release. Releasing much later than that and they will again struggle to create a "hardcore" audience that wants to buy third party games in great quantities.

1. Keep it cheap $250 or $300 (no more than that)

2. HD graphics - at least 720p, preferably 1080p

3. Good online that can compete with Xbox Live and PSN

4. Some cool new Nintendo innovation to keep it fresh - it can't just be better motion controls IMO, they have to do more than just a Wii 1.5 to get people hyped for it.

5. Keep the focus on fun and playing with friends, don't make it hardcore

I can agree with your points. The HD graphics is a must of course. I would love to have a Mario Kart and Animal Crossing in HD :). Their online functionality is the one I am most concerned about right now. If they could improve it and make it on par with what the PS3 has now and still keep it free then I would be more than happy with that. Lastly I like Super Wii as the name for the next console but most likely Nintendo will call it something that we wouldn't even think of.

Well they have to at least make the games look less jaggy or pixelated in their next consoles when viewed on HD TV with component cables. But I have to admit out of all the Nintendo 1st party games I have only NSMB Wii has suffered from being too pixelated and jaggy. And for some odd reason, only the firerods in castle level look significantly better with component cables O_o
