Same story, same guy, just different company. I don't know why this is going so far, are we going to do every individual product, to make sure the concept of jail breaking is either allowed or not.

This. I don't deny the guy has some brains on him but what he does is wrong. He claims its for certain reasons but what he does opens the windows to mass piracy and other B.S. |
The guy is in his early 20's and is still in school. He will do something legit one day, but most young adults screw around until they're out of school.

Agree. And like I said in a previous post, where is all this awesome homebrew everyone was talking about? All I see is everyone's energy being wasted on piracy and cheating.

The homebrew stuff takes time. The PS3 hack is brand new so not many people are used to working with the machine. They will come.
Why are you attacking geohotz? He's still in college and has accomplished more(ipod hacks, robot competitions, PS3 hack, etc....) and gained more fame than most people ever will. He's a young guy in college that is enjoying his success. He will one day have a succesful career and will quite down, but now he's a young guy with fame, so he's exploiting it and having a good time. You would do the same.

He deserves everything he is getting for mucking things up. And honestly i am sure hes smart but to me it sounds like he just leaches off everbody and since he is so outspoken he takes all the credit. The ipod hacks he was part of a team that did it, the ps3 one he used failover flows technique. His robot stuff is his only real impressive things and what he should have stuck to. Who else has went on to do great things after doing stuff like this? Also is he even still in school?
He entered the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2007, quickly after gaining notoriety for hacking the iPhone, but withdrew from the school after 1 quarter
