I have an question about gaming and microphones. Would i be able to use an microphone (one of those desktop microphones) for gaming. I am thinking of getting one and have everything run though speakers because i hate wearing headsets as they make my ears hurt and i believe i have lost some hearing abilities as well caused by headsets.

nope thats it, i was just wondering. I kinder posted it without really thinking and i would of deleted it but i cant (which we should be able to do!)

Yes you can. Dedicated microphones will be better quality than the ones you find in a headset.
