Demons Souls just crossed the one million mark...with the "spritual successor" coming and also coming to both of the HD consoles...what do you guys think will it sell?More than 1 mill and even more than its precursor?Or less than 1 million?and how much less?

For me i cant really predict this...maybe Microdoft will advertise this and bring more people to that game...and for Sony maybe every Demons Souls owner will buy this...just because Demons Souls was so awesome...but maybe not...everything could happen...beacause of that this is kind of impossible to predicht this...

so i would say it will sell like 600k - 1.4 mill (lol) ^^

It's going to sell more 90% of people who played demon souls are going to get it, and a ton of other people that heard how awesome it was but never got around to getting it are going to get it especially since it's coming out on multiple platforms this time and no it's not a direct sequel but they are kidding themselves if they want us to believe it's not in the same franchise (especially with the souls at the end) but they have legal loop holes since it's multiplat 

It will sell more than Demon's Souls simply because it is multi-plat.

NA: 100k - 150k LT: 500k- 750k

JA: 75k - 125k LT: 200k - 300k

Others: 50k - 100k LT: 250k - 350k

First week total: 225k - 375k

Lifetime: 950k - 1.4m

360:

NA: 50k - 100k LT: 400k - 600k

Others: 50k - 100k LT: 200k - 300k

First week total: 100k - 200k

Lifetime: 600k - 900k

Overall

First week Total: 325k- 575k

Lifetime Total: 1.55m - 2.3m

I think it will sell about twice as much as Demon's Souls, so probably somewhere between 1.5 and 2 million on each console. It will sell more on ps3 of course, taking advantage of a possible microsoft campaign similat to what happened with FFXIII.

Easily more than 2 million combined between PS360.

Remember that the first one only has like 200K sold in Europe due to very late launch.

And there's much bigger awareness and hype surrounding Dark Souls before release. It's a typical game to significantly grow further with a sequel to an excellent new IP.

Less than Demon's Soul... 800-900k combined.

You really think ps3 and 360 sales are going to be that close?

I don't think they're that close really. I mean who really knows how Dark Souls will really sell on the 360, but, I think there is an untapped market there for a Demon's Souls-esque game.

I'm sure there is I just don't think it's very big, 360 owners are far more into shooters and random violence it seems from game sales on that platform, I think ps3 version will outsell 360 atleast 2 to 1 if the 360 version does well, I can see it completely flopping too, either way though the ps3 version will sell well
